Skin Deep Reviews

Overview

Skin Deep Reviews is a cosmetics review site that allows users to filter reviews not only by skin tone and eye color, but also by ethnicity, age range, and specific skin issues. Users can search the database for a brand or product, and see all the reviews for a particular product.

The idea for this project came about because I always have issues buying makeup or skincare products based on general reviews. For instance, an eyeliner that “doesn’t budge” for most ethnicities might still smudge on my Asian hooded eyelids. I created Skin Deep Reviews as a way to filter user reviews on a more granular level so women of all ages and ethnicities can find the products that best fits their makeup and skincare needs.
